Cambrian Symphony, a community orchestra based in San Jose, CA, is dedicated to mentoring young musicians though performing side-by-side with seasoned professionals. This recording of Mahler’s sprawling Fifth Symphony was the culmination of several years of musical work. First scheduled for June, 2020, the recording was cancelled due to the COVID pandemic and then rescheduled three years later in 2023. The recording session at Skywalker Sound inspired both young musicians and experienced players alike.
